Existential and bioethical aspects of palliative care in cancer

Abstract Severe illness places individuals in direct confrontation with death, an element of the experience living. A total 12 interviews were conducted adults undergoing palliative care cancer, and investigated by phenomenological analysis, describing axes meaning produced narratives. Analysis ways (re)organize their life projects based on finitude identified three dimensions: spirituality/religiosity; family; relationship death. The patients attribute to existential trajectories established project are essential for treatment adherence coping Resignifying life, death can relieve suffering help give time left. Such questions us reflect bioethical dimension enable planning this modality care.
